Anderson, Vesta

Vesta Anderson, age 95, of Waupaca, WI, passed away on Monday, February 6th, 2012 at Bethany Home. She was born in Town of Scandinavia, Waupaca Co., WI, on November 25, 1916, a daughter of the late Edwin and Clara (Nelson) Hoyord. She married Donald Anderson on August 31, 1957 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Amherst Jct. He preceded her in death on December 18, 2011. Vesta was the organist at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church for over 25 years. She was a beautician for over 20 years in Iola. Survivors include a brother, Vernon Hoyord, Scandinavia, WI. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers – Allen Hoyord and Lenwick Hoyord and by two sisters – Dagny Tweit and Laura Olson. Funeral Services were held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Amherst Jct., at 1 PM on Saturday, February 11th, 2012, with Reverend Greg Haugen officiating. Interment will be at Lakeside Memorial Park, Waupaca. Visitation was held on Saturday from 12:00 (Noon) until the time of the service at the church. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
