Winter art show in New London

The Mid-Winter Art Show will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 25-26, at New London High School.

The event will include an art sale in the gym, an art exhibit and chili dinner in the commons and performing arts in the auditorium.

The art sale in the gym will be hosted by the New London High School Art Club to raise money for supplies for future workshops. All artwork is created by local artists. Items on sale will include jewelry, paintings, photography, pottery, textiles, soaps and other items.

The art sale will also have a children’s play area, face painting, henna art and a photo booth.

The Mid-Winter Art Show, hosted by the Wolf River Art League, features artwork from Wisconsin artists. There will be entries in three categories of two-dimensional, three-dimensional and graphic arts. Artist of all levels and ages are encouraged to enter.

The art show will also have demonstrating artists, live music, silent auctions and people’s choice awards.

The Bottomless Bowl Dinner is a fundraiser by the New London High School Art Team. For the cost of $10, participants may pick out their own hand-made pottery bowl, enjoy endless hot chili or soup and keep the bowl.

The soup for the soup and chili dinner will be donated by the Shamrock Heights Golf Course, The Waters, Family Diner, The Black Otter

Supper Club and Jolly Rodgers. There will also be a pottery sale and raffles.
