David R. Hanson, age 71, of Saxeville, WI, passed away on Monday, February 20th, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Pine River, WI, on June 29, 1940, a son of the late Russell and Dorothy (Petersen) Hansen. David married Karen J. Winters on April 29, 1967 in Waupaca. Survivors include his wife, Karen Hanson, Wild Rose, WI; sons: Mark (Holly) Hanson, Wild Rose, WI; Scott Hanson, Wild Rose, WI; Todd (Angela) Hanson, Manawa, WI; grandchildren: Cassie Immel, Taylor Hanson, Levi Hanson, Emma Hanson, Lauren Hanson, Gracie Hanson, Lexi Hanson, brothers: Ronald (Connie) Hansen, Wild Rose, WI; Roger (Juliann) Hansen, Mukwonago, WI; sister, Carol (Ted) Hakala, Weyerhaueser, WI; brothers-in-law, Kent Winters, York, ME; Kyle Winters, Waupaca, WI. Beside his parents, he was also preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law – Harold and Carol June Winters and a brother-in-law – Keith Winters. Memorial Services will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose, WI, at 1:30 PM today, Thursday, February 23rd, 2012, with Rev. Eugene Gauerke, officiating. A Memorial Visitation was held on Wednesday, from 5 – 8 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose and on Thursday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in the name of David R. Hanson.
