The Friends of Jorgen’s Park will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 5, at the Scandinavia Municipal Building.
The public is invited to attend the meeting to share ideas for developing the park.
The group plans to plant prairie flowers and grasses to the west of the building site this spring. A walking trail will connect Silver Lake Park to Silver Lake Road.
The Friends of Jorgen’s Park have also been working with Radies Logging to select-cut the trees in the forest. This project may be delayed until next winter, due to the lack of snow and frost this year.
Plans have been made to raze the farm house and create a picnic area.
