New London girls win two more

The Lady Bulldogs extended that lead by four in the third quarter. Seymour did outscore New London in the fourth quarter 12-11, but it wasn’t enough as New London won the game 44-32.

Tara Knapstein led the Lady Bulldogs with 15 points, while Brenna Heise chipped in with 12 points. Heather Paalman added eight points and Morgan Steinert added six points.

Earlier in the week on Tuesday, Feb. 14, New London faced off Denmark, who is second in the conference standings. Denmak had the hot hand early outscoring the Lady Bulldogs 18-9 in the first quarter. The upset in the making was quickly dampened in the second quarter when New London outscored Denmark 12-6 to cut Denmark’s lead to only one at halftime.
