Meyer, Kelly A.

Kelly A. Meyer, age 54 years, of Marion passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012 at her home. The former Kelly Ann Kipfmueller was born January 18, 1958 in Royal Oak, MI, to Mark K. and Marilyn A. (Pariseau) Kipfmueller. As a child her family moved to Whitefish Bay and she graduated from high school in 1976. Kelly worked as a dental hygienist for some time while attending Marquette University in Milwaukee. She was united in marriage on June 1, 1991 to Atty. Michael C. Meyer at St. Monica Catholic Church in Whitefish Bay. After marriage the couple lived in Clintonville and in 1995 they built a home and settled in Marion. From 1983-1992 she worked as a Legal Assistant with Meyer & Haacke Law Office in Clintonville. Kelly continued working full time with Meyer Law Office as her health permitted, but after 1997 she began working part time. She is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, was an active member of the Marion Area Historical Society, and was a proud shareholder and season ticket owner of the Green Bay Packers. Kelly and Mike had backpacked in the Porcupine Mountains and Isle Royale National Park 50 miles end to end; canoed Quetico Provincial Park and Boundary Waters; rafted the Snake River in Wyoming; explored Yellowstone National Park, Grand Tetons and Grand Canyon; rode cable cars in San Francisco; skied Breckenridge and Vail, CO. The couple had traveled all over the United States as well as Mexico and Canada. Survivors include her husband, Mike; her father, Dr. Mark Kipfmueller of New Berlin; a sister, Barbara (Jean-Yves) Durocher of Toronto, Canada, and a brother, Jeff (Vicki) Kipfmueller of New Berlin. There are four sisters-in-law; Mary (Kim) Nelson of Arcadia, Meg (Ronald) Polzin of Tigerton, Marcia (Paul) Liegey of Rockville, MD, and Maureen (Dr. Michael) Volk of Green Bay. Kelly is further survived by a brother-in-law, Mark Meyer of Madison, many other relatives and friends, and her basset hound, Vinny. She is preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn, an infant sister, Elizabeth, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Atty. Murray and Marilyn Meyer, and her basset hounds, Max, Charlie and Buddy. The family wishes to especially thank the Marion community for their love and support of Kelly for so many years. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 2nd at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Marion. Fr. Patrick Lloyd will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Clintonville, and on Friday from 10:00 AM until of mass at the church.
