New attitude at Shamrock Heights

Shamrock Heights Golf and Supper Club has a new attitude and a new atmosphere as springtime approaches.

New owners Cory Kluge and Corey Feller took the reins on March 1, and have not wasted any time in renovating the clubhouse and improving the overall aura of Shamrock Heights.

Kluge, who has been a New London resident his entire life, will serve as outside superintendent, as he has been for the past 13 years. Feller, who hails from the Fox Valley, earned his PGA Professional status in 2003 and has been head pro ever since. Both Kluge and Feller are excited to see area residents hit the links and enjoy the golf season.

The clubhouse is also undergoing some remodeling, and a new chef is on board. A new menu with different recipes and new specials is also ready to entice customers, including new wraps, build-your-own burgers, and of course, the Friday Fish Fry. Special brunches are planned for Easter and Mother’s Day. Shamrock Heights will also offer catering for outside events, including weddings, graduations, funerals, and box lunches for business gatherings. Starting April 1, Shamrock Heights will also be open for lunch on Thursday and Friday, featuring the full menu.

The clubhouse has also been updated, featuring new paint, pictures, and televisions.

Shamrock Heights is a public golf course, and offers reasonable rates for youths, seniors, and everyone in between. Feller said there will be daily golf specials and a variety of packages are available for purchase.

Kluge and Feller encourage area residents to visit Shamrock Heights, located at N5525 Old Hwy.45, and see the improvements that have been made. To learn more about what’s new at Shamrock Heights, visit www.shamrockheightsgolf.com or call 920-982-9993.
