The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department is looking for an ATV that may have been used in a burglary at the Country Inn Bar and Restaurant, located at N4004 State Highway 49 just north of Waupaca.
Shortly before 4:30 a.m. Thursday, March 15, sheriff’s deputies responded to an alarm at the Country Inn. When they arrived at the scene, they heard what they believe was the sound of a four-wheel all-terrain vehicle traveling east on Goldsmith Road, away from the bar. The ATV was not located.
Deputies found that forced entry had been made into the building and a couple of gaming machines had been pried open. An undetermined amount of cash was stolen.
