Olsen is still voting the party line

It’s time for my quarterly update of Sen. Luther Olsen, the independent statesman. Once again, he is voting 100 percent party line.

What would it be like if we had someone like Sen. Dale Schultz, a Republican who serves the 17th District and stands up to the governor.

I wonder if Olsen even read “the single most restrictive voter eligibility law in the United States” to quote Judge Flanagan’s decision. This voter ID law will cause undue hardships for Olsen’s constituents, not to mention chaos on and leading up to voting day. Fortunately, the law has a good chance of being overturned in the courts.

It’s hard to imagine what the total cost of this ill-conceived bill will be, regardless of the final outcome. It’s too late for a “do over.”
