Krueger, Margaret M.

Margaret “Maggie” M. Krueger, age 87 of the Town of Pella, Shawano County, passed away peacefully from complications of pneumonia on Sunday May 6, 2012 at Kindred Hearts in Clintonville. Maggie was born June 7, 1924 in Shawano as the daughter of the late Emil and Martha (Mazemke) Meyers. She grew up in New London where she graduated from High School. On June 19, 1943 Maggie was united in marriage to Raymond M. Krueger in New London. The couple later moved to a farm in Pella where Maggie had lived until recently moving to Kindred Hearts. Raymond preceded his wife in death on December 11, 2001. Maggie began working at the Hanson Glove Factory and later retired from Noritage Inc where she worked with furniture upholstery. She was a faithful member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Leopolis and active there with the St. John’s Cemetery Association and still a current member of the Ladies Aid. Maggie was also a member of the Shawano County Homemakers and as an avid reader was a patron of the Shawano County Book Mobile. Some of her hobbies included flower and vegetable gardening, baking, sewing, and playing cards. Survivors include: her children: Darla (Gary Fulk) Baerenwald, Nekoosa; James (Beverly) Krueger, Evansville; Sandra (Ron) Klitz, Racine; Debra Nienke, Clintonville; 8 grandchildren: Travis (Theresa) Nienke; Megan (Tim Stueck) Nienke, Christine Klitz; Elizabeth (John) Schultz; Terry (David) Young; Kim (Steve) Vanderhoef; Gale Baerenwald; Tina (Cherie) Krueger; 9 great-grandchildren: Shannon (Traylee) Marti; Shane Marti; Jamie (Rachel) Young; Michelle Young; Taylor Ann Nienke; Sophie Ann Stueck; Katie Krueger; Chloe Krueger; and Grace Kriewaldt; a great-great-grandson, Bryson Marti; a sister, Donna Buelow, New London; a brother: Lester (Shirley) Meyers, New London. Also many other relatives and friends. Maggie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond, a son Robert, a sister Esther Babcock, a brother Oscar Meyers, and a dear friend Joann Breitenfeldt. Funeral services were held Wednesday May 9, 2012 at 11 AM at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Leopolis with Rev. Dennis Creswell officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery also in Leopolis. Friends called from 5 – 8 PM Tuesday at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory in Marion, 1029 N. Main Street, and at the church on Wednesday from 10 AM until the time of the services. Memorials for Maggie may be directed to the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Leopolis.
