Hansen (Price), Pauline Elizabeth

Pauline Elizabeth Hansen (Price). She was born in Amherst, Wisconsin Sept. 4, 1916. She moved many times with her parents, as her father was a railroad man. She graduated from Rhinelander High School and went on to business school in Oshkosh, Wis. She worked as a secretary at Hoffman wholesale produce where she met her future husband, Willy Hansen. They married Nov. 1, 1940 in Racine, Wis. She worked at a number of businesses and enjoyed every experience. She worked at Riverside hospital, starting in 1957 when it was new. Then, she went on to secretary for the District Attorney of Waupaca Co. She left that position and went to the First National Bank as teller. And finally she went to Waupaca Public Service from where she retired. In retirement she enjoyed her activities within her church, Immanuel Lutheran in Waupaca. She was active in choir, bell choir and Ladies Aid. Her church was her home away from home. She is survived by a son, Alexander (Sandy) Hansen; grandchildren: Paula Hansen, Melanie (Hansen) Shea, grandson Jon Berg and great grandson, Victor Shea; her brothers and sisters: Gene Price, Irene Peterson, Alice Brose, Roger Price, Jerry Price and Don Price. She was preceded in death by her husband Willy Hansen; daughter, Connie (Hansen) Berg and grandson Dennis Berg. She was an avid reader and devoured any reading material in front of her. She was my matriarch and when I had a question, I’d go to her for advice and guidance. She was greatly loved by all her family and will be deeply missed. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday May 29, 2012 at 11 A.M. at the Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Waupaca. Pastor Loren Fritz will officiate. A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday at the church from 10 A.M. until the time of the service at 11 A.M. Burial will be at the Lakeside Memorial Park. The Holly Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences available at www.hollyfuneralhome.com. She will now rest peacefully with our Lord.
