Rosenow, Norman Elmer

Norman Elmer Rosenow, 82, passed away June 6, 2012. Norman was born June 1, 1930, son of Elmer and Esther (Schmidt) Rosenow. Norman was baptized on July 6, 1930 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Bowler, Wisconsin. He was confirmed on August 27, 1944 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Bowler, Wisconsin. Norman and Evelyn Krenke were married May 21, 1955 at St Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville, Wisconsin. He served his country in the United States Air Force for 4 years from 1952-1956, during the Korean Conflict. Norman was a member of the American Legion Post #27 in Apache Junction, Arizona. Norman worked for C.W. Transport as a truck mechanic for 24 years. Lived in Appleton, Wisconsin from 1956-1969, when they moved to the farm, south of New London, Wisconsin. When living in Appleton, he was a member of Faith Lutheran Church where he ushered for many years. He is a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, where he also ushered for several years. In 1999, Norman and Evelyn started spending winters in Apache Junction, Arizona and loving every minute of it. Norman loved to go hiking in the mountains with his friends. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Evelyn (Krenke) Rosenow and 3 children; Susan Armstrong (Larry), Sandra Huse (Stephen) and Steven Rosenow (Kim) and 7 grandchildren; Cynthia Huse, Ana Armstrong, Ryan Rosenow, Kylie and Kayce Crain, Noah and Katelyn Rosenow. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren. And his sister Jeanette (Rosenow) Rekow, sister-in-law Alice Rosenow and brother Duane Rosenow (Karen). He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Esther Rosenow, son Scott Rosenow and brother Cliff Rosenow. Visitation was at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London from 9:00 – 11:00 am Saturday, June 9, 2012 and the funeral service was held at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London at 11:00 am Saturday, June 9, 2012. The Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements. The family would like to thank ThedaCare at Home Hospice.
