Soda Pups coming to Manawa

Get ready for some fun and laughter when Sturm Memorial Library and Manawa Elementary School host The Soda Pups at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, at the Manawa Elementary School.

The “Pups” are Pomeranian dogs named after popular brands of Soda. RC, Sierra Mist, Squirt, Coca-Cola, Pepsi and Dr. Pepper will be performing for the crowd doing all kinds of impressive and humorous feats. There will be agility stunts using tunnels, hurdles and uprights, tricycle riding and even a remote controlled SUV. The performance finale includes something called the “Packer Trick.”

The Soda Pups and their owner, Jack Zolkowski, have been performing in the Fox Valley area for many years. The dogs and Zolkowski also do pet therapy at area nursing homes and hospitals.

Though the program is taking place during summer school, everyone is welcome to attend the event which will take place in the school gymnasium. Children seven and under must be accompanied by a responsible party. This special event is funded by the A. Sturm & Sons Foundation.
