May, Jacqueline M.

Jacqueline (Jacci) M. May, age 69, of Waupaca passed away surrounded by her loving family, on July 4, 2012 at Appleton Medical Center following a short but courageous battle with lung cancer. Jacci was born on October 21, 1942 in San Diego, CA, daughter of the late Peter and Hazel Doyle. She graduated from Waupaca High School in 1960 and was united in marriage to Richard (Dick) May on July 15, 1961. Jacci was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She took great pride and joy in her family and raising her children. It brought her much happiness to watch her children and grandchildren in their school and athletic activities. Her family will always remember her for her devotion to them, as well as her grace, strength and character. Jacci is survived by her husband Richard May of 51 years; five children: Scott (Carrianne) May of Tampa Bay, FL; Lisa Longland of Appleton, Julie (David) Bonlander of Newton, Jennifer (Tomas) Johnson of Waupaca, Paul Sobolewski of Oshkosh; eleven grandchildren: Chelsea Johnson, Alexandria Hanshaw, Jeremy, Corina, and Bobby Longland, Jordan May, Jared (Brittanie) Johnson, Juan and Jade Bautista, DJ (Allison) Bonlander, Sarah (Joey) Eisch; and three great-grandchildren. She is further survived by sisters, Vicki (Dan) Quimby of Weyauwega, and Kathy Hettich of Sheboygan; brothers, Buck (Donna) Doyle of Sheboygan, Edgar Doyle of Stevens Point, and sister-in-law, Patricia (Frank) Schodron, Arbor Vitae. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Arthur and Genevieve May, one brother, Dennis Doyle, two sisters-in-law, Jeanne May, and Josie Doyle, and one brother-in-law, Chuck Hettich. Cremation has taken place and a private celebration of Jacci’s life will be held in the near future. Condolences for the family can be sent in care of Richard May, PO Box 23, Waupaca, WI 54981.
