Musical to be staged in New London

The Wolf River Theatrical Troupe will present “Night at the Wax Museum” July 25-28 at the New London High School Auditorium on Klatt Road.

The summer musical will be performed at 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, with a Saturday matinee at 2 p.m.

Cost is $10 per person, with no reserve seats. Tickets will be sold only at the door.

The 41-member cast is directed by Chris Renner, assisted by Margie Brown.

Costuming is headed up by Sandy Renner, makeup and hair styles by Tara Lawton, lights and sound led by Tiffany Schulz, and stage manager is Patti Jensen.

The set is being built by parental volunteers led by Chris Doran, with Lori Schneider organizing the art work.

The lively musical is produced through arrangement with Pioneer Drama Services.

“A Night At the Wax Museum” is described as a delightful musical glimpse into history. The cast brings life to Blackbeard and his blood-thirsty crew as they duel with Butch Cassidy, the Sundance Kid and other western bad-guys (and gals) to gain possession of the museum’s treasure.

Cleopatra sets her sights on King Henry VIII, but his poor beheaded wife Anne Boleyn has other plans that include President John Adams. Chaos reigns after an incantation brings all the wax figures to life.
