Chady, Robert

Robert “Bob” T. Chady, of Iola, age 73, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Bethany Home. He was born on October 6, 1938, the son of the late Paul and Mildred (Peterson) Chady. He was united in marriage to Laurel Johnson on February 15, 1969. Bob worked as a carpenter for various home builders, doing finish carpentry as well as remodeling. He enjoyed restoring farm machinery, woodworking and fixing anything. He also loved to fish and vacation with his kids. Bob was “famous” for making rosettes and also helped Laurel with making lefsa. He is survived by his wife, Laurel of Iola; son, Richard Chady (Jess) of Hortonville and daughter, Jennifer Chady (Mark) of Milwaukee; sisters, Janet (Gary) Kisling and Charlotte Vaughn and a brother, Bill (Joyce) Chady. He is further survived by an aunt, Alvera Peterson; granddogs, Bailey and Lilly; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2012 at the Maple Crest Funeral Home, with Debbie Jorgens officiating. Visitation was held from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established for the Humane Society.
