Recently, Waupaca County residents received letters indicating the State Record Retrieval Board of Milwaukee will provide the important certified copies of their deed for a cost of $87.
Fees for a copy of your property deed are governed by Wisconsin state law, which are $2 for the first page, plus $1 for each additional page. The certification fee per document copy is $1.A deed averages only one to two pages.
It is an easy process to obtain a copy of a deed from the register of deeds. If you require a copy of your deed, contact the local register of deeds of the county where your property is located.
