Now we have a senatorial candidate being pressured to withdraw because he made an offensive comment regarding women’s rights. The fact that nearly all of his statements are in his party’s platform and are identical to the positions of his fellow legislator Paul Ryan does not help him. He is a political liability.
I find it difficult to understand how any informed voter, especially a woman, could support an organization in such turmoil. The Republican Party that I knew growing up had many commendable ideas but now the extreme right has taken it over.
I urge everyone to read the GOP platform to get a better vision of their world, only partially revealed by Congressman Todd Akin.
