Zempel, Robert L.

Robert L. Zempel, age 52, of New London, formerly of Weyauwega, died unexpectedly the result of an accident early Sunday morning in Tomahawk. He was born on October 19, 1959 in Milwaukee, son of Lester and Lois (Richter) Zempel. Bob was baptized on November 19, 1959 at the Lutheran Children’s Friend Society in Milwaukee. He attended St. Peter Lutheran Grade School in Weyauwega and was confirmed on May 5, 1974. He then attended Weyauwega-Fremont High School. Bob worked as a mason for many years. He enjoyed riding his Harley and working and fixing them. He also enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. He is survived by: his mother, Lois Zempel, Weyauwega; brother, William (Caroline) Zempel, Weyauwega; children: Jan (Jorge) Pacheco, Merrill; Sam Schamara, Merrill; two grandkids, Liliahna Pacheco and Landon Zempel. He is further survived by Patricia Ciura Zempel, two nieces, one nephew, an aunt Luella Hoffman, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Lester. The funeral service for Bob will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 3:00p.m. at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega with Rev. Greg Watling officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega. A visitation for Bob will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home from 1:00p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
