Trucker XC team runs well at Bulldog Invite

The Clintonville Trucker varsity cross country team competed at the New London Bulldog Invite on Saturday, Sept. 15, facing off against 12 other schools at Hatten Park.

The Clintonville cross country season consists of many of the same locations as previous years. For this year’s Bulldog invite, one of the goals set for the Clintonville runners was to improve upon their individual previous year performance. As the season progresses the athletes prepare and improve for the end of season Conference, Sectional, and State races.

Good individual efforts were given by Clintonville’s runners on the Bulldog course.

The Clintonville girls varsity 4K was led by Samantha Hohn who improved on last year and ran a season best third place time of 15:42.23. Sara Messner ran a season best time of 16:25.25, Ali Johnson ran a season best time of 16:28.87, Brianna Gretzinger with 17:09.03, Ana Huber with 17:21.58 and Jessica Petruzates with 17:48.80.

In the boys JV 5K, Brandon Scheller achieved a season best 20:42.02. Kaleb Hatfield ran a season best time of 22:53:82 and Noah Hartleben ran a season best of 24:07.13.

For the girls JV 4K, Danielle Kiefer ran 20:33.90 and Aubry Netzel ran a season best of 21:20.90.
