Constructive creations

Students in Mike Wespetal’s Construction III Class at Clintonville High School recently finished building trash and recycling receptacles, which will be installed at the riverside walking path along the back side of West Street.

They are designed similar to the ones found at the walking trail near the high school. The idea was presented to the class by Jeff Crumbaugh and Lois Bressette, who live near the park.

“It’s a good project that helped get students involved in making something useful for the park,” said Crumbaugh. “These new trash and recycling receptacles will add class to the park.”

Crumbaugh, a science teacher at CHS, and his wife, Lois Bressette, a City Council member, donated funds to pay for all the materials for the four units. Pictured with the completed receptacles are (left to right in photo): Nathan Poppe, Zach Lorge, Drew Thebo, Jake Van Allen, Christian Hiller, Jake Tourville, Instructor Mike Wespetal, Clintonville Park and Rec Director Justin Mc Auly, Lois Bressette, and Jeff Crumbaugh.
