Electronics recycling available

New London residents will have an opportunity to dispose old electronics at no charge from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 6 at the New London Utilities facility.

Old electronics can be brought to the facility, located at 400 E. North Water St.

Electronics that can be recycled for free include: CRT monitors, televisions, CPUs, printers, speakers, scanners, LCD screens, fax machines, vacuum cleaners, phones, laptops, record players, tape players, CD players, I-pods, VCRs, DVD players, beta tape players, electrical saws, drills, calculators, paper shredders, coffee machines, heaters, copiers and game systems.

Appliances that can be recycled for free include: mini-fridges, small AC units, dehumidifiers, stoves, washers, dryers, dishwashers and microwaves.

Refrigerators and freezers will not be accepted at this recycling event.

Residents can also recycle all light bulb types for recycling at this event at no charge.

The event is being hosted by the New London Utilities and recyclethatstuff.com.
