Luella E. Collar, age 86, of New London, formerly of Hortonville, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2012, at St. Joseph Residence in New London. She was born on January 24, 1926, in New London, daughter of the late Arnie and Theresa Kuhnke. On November 18, 1944, she was united in marriage to Willard Collar. He preceded her in death. Luella worked at Rich’s Bakery in Appleton for over 30 years until her retirement. She loved dancing, spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to lunch with her lady friends and also going to Friday night fish fry’s. We will miss her loving smile. She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Hortonville. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon (Orville) Mauritz, New London; Jayne (Michael) Braun, New London; son, Daryl (Darla) Collar, Menasha; son-in-law, Larry Peterson, Manawa; adopted daughter, Michelle (Shawn) Park, Appleton; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren; brother, Warren Hidde, King; and special goddaughter Theresa Davis. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, cousins, and many friends. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Darlene Collar and Cindy Peterson, also a son, Dennis Collar; sister, Arlene (Ray) Magolske and a brother Rudy Hidde. The Funeral Mass for Luella will be held on Monday, October 8, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Hortonville with Rev. Msgr. James Feely officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2012, at the Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home in Hortonville from 2-5 p.m. and on Monday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the mass.
