Rusch, Louise L.

Louise L. Rusch, of Waupaca, age 58, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Appleton Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born in Illinois on July 1, 1954, the daughter of the late Nelson “Pat” and Nila (Johnson) Pearcy. On August 24, 1974, she was united in marriage to Albert Rusch. Louise was an LPN and worked for over 20 years at Lakeview Manor in Weyauwega. Most recently she worked part-time for R.E.M., where she continued to care for others, even as her own health was failing. Louise had been an active member of the Chain O’Lakes Conservation Club, served as an ambassador with the Waupaca Chamber of Commerce, and volunteered with the American Red Cross. She enjoyed an array of hobbies including crafting, sewing, quilting, painting, was a great gardener and an avid reader. Louise was a cat lover and supporter of the Humane Society. She was a loving wife and wonderful mother who leaves behind her husband, Albert and two children, Scott of Waupaca and Lisa (Eric) Thurstin of St. Paul, MN. Also surviving is her brother, Patrick (Patty) Pearcy of Oconomowoc, and their children Kathryn and Molly. Louise was preceded in death by her sister Sandra and brother Jimmy. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca, with Pastor Rich officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 4 – 7 p.m. and again on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Crystal Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to Calvary Church of Waupaca or the American Lung Association in Minnesota.
