Glow necklaces available for trick-or-treaters

Volunteers will be providing free glow necklaces to childreny during the city of Waupaca’s trick or treat hours of 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31.

This year, the necklaces will be available at two locations: the parking lot of A.J. Holly and Sons Funeral Home, at the corner of South Main and East Lake streets, and near Swan Park at the cul-de-sac on Sunset Drive.

“Dusk is one of the most difficult times to see due to decreased lighting, and anything that can help children be more visible to traffic is a huge benefit,” said Paul Piencikowski with First Assembly of God in Waupaca.

The children’s ministries of First Assembly is working with the Waupaca Police Department, Waupaca Fire Department and Holly and Sons Funeral Home to provide the glow necklaces.
