Waldrop joins ThedaCare

Don Waldrop joined the ThedaCare Physicians team as the practice administrator for ThedaCare-Physicians Waupaca in September.

He took the role after the promotion of Fran Finley to vice president of operations at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah.

Waldrop, who is originally from the Pardeeville area, is glad to return to Wisconsin.

As practice administrator, Waldrop will be responsible for the further integration of a patient care model into the Waupaca operations as well as improving access for customers.

Waldrop brings over 24 years of health care management experience to the Waupaca community.

Fifteen of those years were spent with Dean Health System in Madison, serving in a variety of roles including operations management, supply chain management, lab management, and the administration of an EPIC installation.

His most recent experiences have been as chief operating officer for Allied Health of Wisconsin and chief operating officer for Springfield Clinic, a large multispecialty group practice in Springfield, Ill.

Waldrop has a bachelor’s degree from Lakeland College and an master’s in business administration from Cardinal Stritch University.

Waldrop and his wife Julie have a son Matt, and are involved in his sporting activities.

In their free time, they enjoy spending time doing outdoor activities.
