Area Nurses Receive Advanced Certification

Medical-Surgical Nursing Credential Awarded to 2 Riverside Medical Center Nurses

Tisha Barth and Audrey Rosin are the latest nursing staff at Riverside Medical Center located in Waupaca, WI to obtain an advanced certification for a nursing specialty. Both of them were recently granted a “RN-BC” which means they are board certified in their chosen specialty of medical-surgical nursing.
“Achieving excellence through certification” is the goal of our nursing staff. Working within the shared governance structure, hospital leadership and staff nurses committed to excellent patient care set about to encourage staff to obtain certification in their fields. To date Riverside Medical Center has nurses who are certified in medical surgical nursing, diabetes education, emergency room nursing, critical care nursing, nursing professional development and healthcare quality. In addition we have staff certified in central sterile and also in diabetes management. We are able to continue to meet the needs of our community through this growing group of certified staff who focus on delivering quality care.

To celebrate these accomplishments and demonstrate how we truly value certification, certified staff names are engraved on plaques throughout the hospital for all to see. In addition, each receive a given a letter signed by fellow staff members and a small gift.

Riverside Medical Center is intent upon providing the best care possible to our community and as part of that commitment we will continue to increase and maintain the number of certified nurses in order to continue delivering quality care to our patients.
