New London woman charged with felony theft

Casey S. Guyette, 29, New London, was charged with felony theft.

She is accused of stealing $36,400 from the Subway shop in New London where he worked.

On Mat 21, 2010, New London Police Officer Nick Kamba interviewed the owner of the Subway shop and two staff from the company’s regional corporate office. A store audit had uncovered financial discrepencies.

According to the criminal complaint, Guyette had admitted to stealing approximately $200 per week from the store for more than three years. She had also signed three documents that indicated she would pay back the money, that restitution could be collected through future payroll deductions and an exit interview form.

New London Police Officer jeff Wockenfuss interviewed Guyette on June 4, 2010. Although Guyette reportedly admitted to taking some cash, she denied taking more than $36,000. She said the amounts had not been on the forms at the time she signed them.

He faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
