Delzer, Marlyn D.

Marlyn D. Delzer “Rabbit Man”, age 78 of Hortonville, passed away unexpectedly at Theda Clark Medical Center on Tuesday, December 18, 2012.

Marlyn was born July 13, 1934, in New London, Wisconsin, son of the late Albert and Helinda (Schroeder) Delzer. He married Kay Moder on January 7, 1956. Marlyn worked on the farms of O.P Cuff and Gary Bernegger for many years. He was also employed at the Wire Products Company in Hortonville for over 25 years. Marlyn loved hunting and raised rabbits as a business. He enjoyed being outside and taking care of his big garden.

Marlyn is survived by his wife, Kay; four daughters, Cindy Lederhaus (special friend, Roger), Cheryl Starks, Debra (Todd) Oestreich, and Sandy Delzer; three sons, Randall Delzer, Stanley (Denise) Delzer, and Rocky Delzer; four grandchildren, Carrie, Stacey, Nancy, and Kameo; and three step-grandchildren, Deangelo, Antonio, and Mario. He is further survived by two brothers, Earldean Delzer and Gordon (Sheila) Delzer; sister-in-law Elizabeth Delzer; two half-sisters, Ione Falk and Evelyn Kamke; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Marlyn is preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Leona Delzer; sister, Imogene Wright; sister-in-law, Alice Delzer; half-sister, Maxine Kamke; half-brother, Gilbert Delzer; brother, Donald; and step-brother, David Thorton.

A funeral service for Marlyn will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 21, 2012, at Living Waters Assembly of God, 303 Cameron Street, New London, with Rev. Gordon Lane officiating. Visitation will be held at the church Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Mosquito Hill Cemetery, Liberty Township.
