WMS concert rescheduled

Due to the snow storm, the winter concert for the Waupaca Middle School seventh and eighth-grade bands scheduled for Dec. 20 was cancelled.

The concert has been rescheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at Waupaca Middle School.

The seventh-grade band, conducted by Shana Rogney, will be performing a variety of selections, including “Holiday Snippets” by Robert Sheldon; “Mystic Legacy” by Larry Clark; “Lullaby for Christmas” arr. by Sandy Feldstein and Larry Clark, “Eine Kleine Christmas”, arr. by Larry Clark, and “Jingle Bell Rock”, arranged by John Edmondson.

The eighth-grade band, under the direction of Greg Biba, will play “A Christmas Scrapbook” arranged by Dave Black, which includes “Carol of The Bells,” “O Holy Night,” “March of The Toy Soldiers,” and “God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen.” Also included is Mel Torme’s “The Christmas Song,” “Jingle Jazz” by David Shaffer, “Night Journey” by Chris Bernotas, and to complete the evening will be Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas” in which both bands will combine.

The concert is free and open to the public.
