Jacqueline L. Bretthauer, 80, New London, died on Monday, January 21, 2013, at St. Joseph Residence following a brief illness.
Jackie was born on August 6, 1932, in Traverse City, Michigan, daughter of the late John and June (Hier) Wales. On May 24, 1951, she was united in marriage to William Bretthauer in Grand Haven, Michigan. He preceded her in death in 1995. Jackie was formerly employed as a receptionist for Waugamie Co-Op in Bear Creek and also worked in the Religious Education Program at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, New London. She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ, New London. She loved to scrapbook, crochet, read, draw and sing.
She will be missed by her daughters, Kaye (William) Bortoluzzi, Neenah; Bobbie (Larry) Cottrill, New London and Tracy (Terry) Lathrop, Long Island, NY; grandchildren: Dominia Bortoluzzi (Rick) Oshkosh; Christopher Bortoluzzi (Brenda), Appleton; Shelbie Cottrill (Chad), New London and Lorie Bortoluzzi (special friend, Jamie), Neenah; great-grandchildren, Navarina Beardsley, Oshkosh; Domenic Behling, New London and Tava Behling, New London and one great great-grandchild, Keylee Beardsley. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother Billy Wales and a sister, Bonnie Ellsworth.
Funeral services for Jackie will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London with Rev. Greg Watling officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at St. Joseph Residence for all their care and concern shown to Jackie.
