Write-in candidate runs for Manawa School Board

Ex-Manawa School Board member Randy Rosin is asking his constituents to vote for Helene Pohl for the seat he vacated.

When Rosin resigned from the Manawa School Board in February, it was too late to remove his name from the ballot for the Tuesday, April 6 election.

Rosin’s name will be the only name on the ballot for the school board seat representing the village of Ogdensburg and the town of St. Lawrence.

Since he can’t serve his term if elected, Rosin is endorsing Pohl as a write-in candidate for the seat.

In an email to the County Post East, Rosin stated Pohl has been a family friend for years and he believes her experience as a teacher will be an asset to the community.

“Ms. Pohl has a great deal more time available to dedicate to the school board than I have available,” Rosin stated in the email. “This will allow her to research all topics involving the board, [which] is a critical part of this position.”
