National Library Week celebrated in Wega

“Create Your Own Story” will be part of the April 14-20 celebration of “National Library Week.”

The Weyauwega Public Library will join the Wisconsin Library Association Foundation and area Culver’s restaurants in the drawing campaign for children age 11 and under.

Children may pick up a drawing sheet from the library, draw a book character and then turn in their sheet.

They will receive a coupon for a free scoop of frozen custard from Culver’s and will then be entered in a random drawing to win a grand prize of a free Team Scoopie Kid’s meal coupon.

All entries must be turned in by 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30.

Join library staff at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 25 for “It’s Daylight in the Swamp, A Musical Tribute to the Lumberjacks of the Midwest.”

It will presented by Bill Jamerson, who did a program last year about the CCC tour. He educates and entertains, as part of his programs.

Beginning on Monday, April 15, the library will be extending its Monday hours to 8 p.m.

The library will then be open until 8 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday, year around.

For more information about the programs, visit the library or call it at 920-867-3742.
