Wienke, Frank A.

Frank A. Wienke, age 71, of 3500 Bush St., Stevens Point, formerly of Clintonville and Key West, FL, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Care Partners in Stevens Point.

There will be no service or visitation. Burial will be at a later date in Key West, FL. Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home of Nekoosa, is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.ritchayfuneralhome.com.

Frank was born December 11, 1941 in North Chicago, IL to Earl and Irene (Barber) Wienke. He married Delores Winter on May 6, 1971 in Sussex, WI. They divorced in 1993. Frank served in the US Army from 1959-1962 and in the US Marines in 1963. He was the owner/ operator of a recycling business in Clintonville, WI and was also an over the road truck driver. Frank was a NASCAR racing fan and enjoyed arts and crafts with his granddaughters. He also enjoyed traveling, the Green Bay Packers, gardening and casinos. Frank especially enjoyed his companion cat, Fat Cat.

He is survived by four daughters: Lisa Ryman of Port Edwards, Julie (James Jr.) Becker of Wisconsin Rapids, Christine Wienke of Clintonville, and Jennifer (Derek) Weber of Brownsville; ten grandchildren: Ashley Wilson; Brittany, Zachariah, and Jacob Becker; Megan, Cody, and Emily Clegg; Gunnar Kvistad; and Joshua and Olivia Weber; his former wife, Delores Winter of Clintonville; and one brother, John (Bonnie) Wienke of Neshkoro. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gerald Wienke, Sr.

The Wienke family would like to thank Amy and Fawn at Community Care of Portage County, the staff at Care Partners, and special caregivers, Mike and Andy.
