Jerry P. Wagenson, age 73, Bear Creek died on Thursday, May 29, 2013, at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, Milwaukee following a short illness.
Jerry was born on June 7, 1939, in Camp Douglas, WI. On September 24, 1979, he was united in marriage to Susan Watson. He worked for Volk Field in Camp Douglas for 20 years. He has been a resident of the Shiocton area since 1979, where he farmed. Jerry was a charter member of the Camp Douglas Lions and was now a member of the Bear Creek Lions. He was a FSA board member for Outagamie County. Jerry loved spending time with his family and being at the pond at his cabin.
He is survived by his wife Susan; his children: Mary Jane Wagenson, Pine Island MN; Carol Wagenson, New Lisbon; Linda (Michael) Bova, Green Bay; Chris (Julie) Wagenson, Bear Creek; and Matthew (Elisha) Wagenson, Bear Creek; a brother, Rod (Sue) Wagenson, Camp Douglas; a sister, Gyneth (Marlan) Ness, New Lisbon. Grandchildren: Amanda (Brent) Buss; Jennifer and Katelyn Poole; Olivia, Abigail and Lia, Wagenson, great grandson, Cooper Graham and also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claire and Clara (Christensen) Wagenson.
Funeral Mass for Jerry will be held on Monday, June 3, 2013, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bear Creek with Fr. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4-8 p.m., with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London. Visitation will also be at the church on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, with the Bear Creek Lions Club Honor Guard in attendance.
