Area high school football teams will get ready for the upcoming season at four scrimmages in August.
Here’s a list of teams and where they’re heading:
• Manawa: The Wolves will take on Manitowoc Roncalli, Two Rivers and Denmark at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at Roncalli.
• New London: The Bulldogs will host Iola-Scandinavia, Mosinee and Peshtigo at 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, at Bulldog Stadium.
• Clintonville: The Truckers will head to Appleton East for a seven-team scrimmage with the Patriots, Oshkosh West, Fox Valley Lutheran, Green Bay Notre Dame, Green Bay Southwest and Fond du Lac St. Mary’s Springs at 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16.
• Hortonville: The Polar Bears will face Waupaca, Ashwaubenon and Wrightstown at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16, at Waupaca High School.
One other area team, Tigerton/Marion, does not have a scrimmage scheduled, according to the Central Wisconsin Conference website.
