Elizabeth “Betty” Whitrock, age 62, of 730 19th Avenue South, Wisconsin Rapids, WI died Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at University Hospital, Madison, WI.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 12, 2013 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Rev. Sahayanathan Nathan will officiate. Visitation will take place at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI from 4:00-8:00 PM Thursday July 11, 2013 and Friday at the Church from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park.
Betty was born October 11, 1950 in Milwaukee, WI to Anton and Elaine (Meyer) Cychosz. She married Michael D. Whitrock on August 8, 1970 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Betty was a scheduler for Newpage Corporation for 43 years retiring in 2012. Betty was a long time member of the Corvettes of the North; St. Mary’s Woman’s Club and enjoyed traveling and playing bunko.
Betty is survived by her mother, Elaine Graper of Manawa, WI; husband, Michael; two sons, Ryan Whitrock of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and Nathan (Joanna) Whitrock of Sun Prairie, WI; four grandchildren, Chloe, Carley, Grace and Gavin; brother, Thomas (Ann) Cychosz of Dallas, TX; two sisters, Mary (Roy) Glocke of Jackson, WI and Beverly Herbest of Oshkosh, WI; sister-in-law, Peggy (Al) Ose of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family and special friends. Betty was preceded in death by her father, Anton Cychosz; stepfather, Henry Graper and father-and mother-in-law, Donald and Bernice Whitrock. Memorials can be designated to the UW Cancer Center Riverview or to Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.
