Kendzierski, Robert A.

Robert A. Kendzierski, age 82, of the Wild Rose area, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Bethany Home in Waupaca.

He was born August 17, 1930 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Edward and Clara (Lentz) Kendzierski. On November 7, 1953 he was united in marriage to Sonia Shogren. Bob was a faithful member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He served during in the Air National Guard during the Korean conflict. For a year, he worked on a D.E.W. Line in Alaska. He loved music and playing the accordion. Bob was a Scout Master for many years and enjoyed spending time outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Sonia of the Wild Rose area; son, Tom (Mary) Kendzierski and their children, Michael and Anne; daughter, Joan Heintz and her daughters, Jenny and Becky (Scott) Hafemann; son, Dave (Lauri) Kendzierski and their children, Kevin, Erika, Celeste and Claire; daughter, Connie Kendzierski (special friend, Jim Heisner) as well as his favorite cat Turn Up. Bob was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Dennis Heintz and a sister, Barbara Janus.

The funeral Mass will be held at 2:30 PM Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, with Fr. Amalraj Roche officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 PM until the time of the service. The committal service will be at 10:30 AM Thursday, July 25, 2013 at the St. Adalbert Cemetery chapel in Milwaukee. The Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca assisted the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to the Waupaca Humane Society or the Humane Society of your choice. “Don’t cry because it’s over; smile because it happened.” Dr. Suess
