Prochnow, Elaine Ora

Elaine Ora Prochnow, age 74, of Weyauwega, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the New London Family Medical Center.

She was born on July 14, 1939 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Orville and Lorraine (Brever) Jahncke. On April 12, 1958, she was united in marriage to Clifford “Jack” Prochnow in Milwaukee. Elaine graduated from Custer High School in Milwaukee. She worked as a sales clerk at Sears in Milwaukee for over 35 years, then at Kmart in Waupaca for 8 years after they moved to Weyauwega. Elaine enjoyed crafts, reading, crossword puzzles, and playing slot machines and bingo. She will also be remembered for her love of cows. She especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Clifford “Jack” Prochnow, Weyauwega; her children, Deborah VanAllen (Greg), Manawa; Alan (Linda) Prochnow, West Allis; 3 grandchildren: Jeffrey (Becki) VanAllen, Eric Prochnow and Justin Prochnow; a sister Dianne Shaw, Waukesha. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Elaine will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega with Rev. William Heiges officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega. A visitation for Elaine will be held directly at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
