Meronek, Michelle Carol

Michelle Carol Meronek, age 44, Waupaca, died on Thursday October 31, 2013 surrounded by her loved ones after a long struggle with illnesses.

Michelle was born on April 13th, 1969, at Riverside Hospital in Waupaca, WI, daughter of John Meronek Jr. and Paula Scouton. She graduated from Waupaca High School in 1987. While attending high school she was an award winning trumpet player and was in the choir. After high school, Michelle graduated from Fox Valley Technical College with a degree in Accounting. She worked in advertising sales for the Buyers Guide, Gannett, and Krause Publications. She cherished her son, Josh and daughter (dog), Bailey. Michelle was a devoted friend who was always there when you needed a hand. To say she was a sports fan is an understatement. The teams she loved and watched the most were the Comets, Brewers, Packers, Muskies and Bison. She enjoyed car rides out to the Old Red Mill.

She is survived by her son Joshuah Meronek, Sheboygan; father John (Loretta) Meronek Jr., Almond; grandmother Mary Lou Niemuth, Waupaca; brothers, Jason Meronek, Waupaca; Justin (Michelle) Meronek, Little Chute; nephew Jordan “Bubba”, nieces, Gabriel “Turtle” and Chirstien; uncle Tom Darinski, cousin Elizabeth (Jesse) Crain, uncle Darrel (Karen) Meronek, aunts, Carol (Stan) Coon, Barb Schwartz and Diane (Ed) Schultz. Best friends: Paul Rew, Lisa Andersen, Laurie Walder, Chrissi and Jeff Robbins, Sue Mande, Scott Dietz, Tammy Mohr, Broccoli, Breezy, and Graham Cracker. She is preceded in death by her mother Paula Scouton, aunt Gail Darinski, grandfather Norman Niemuth, grandparents and godparents, John and Marian Meronek Sr.

A special thanks to the Theda Clark and Froedtert Hospital staff for all of their wonderful care through the years. The memorial service will be on Friday November 15, 2013 at 7:00 pm at the Maple Crest Funeral Home. Friends and family can gather from 3:00 pm until time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate monetary donations to cover memorial costs.
