Evelyn G. Martin, age 94, passed away on November 12, 2013, at St. Joseph Residence, New London.
Evelyn worked as a secretary for various firms in the Chicago area, work she enjoyed until her retirement at age 72. She was an avid reader, enjoyed listening to hymns and classical music, and her favorite radio programs one of which is the Moody Church Hour on Sunday mornings.
Evelyn is survived by her daughter Juanita (Mark) Durie, New London; grandchildren: John (Tina) Durie, Darrell (Beth) Durie, Julianna Durie, Laura (John) Reuteler, and Jeff (Jill) Martin; great-grandchildren: Lucas, Aidan, Colton, Gideon, Emmaline, Miranda, Rosalie, Liam and John Durie, Abigail, Madeline, and Elijah Durie, Taleah and Trevin Reuteler, and Madison and Sawyer Martin; daughters-in-law, Ann Canada and Kathy Martin. She is preceded in death by her husband Basilio Martin and two sons, Michael Canada and Leon Martin.
