Fremont board approves 2014 budget

Village of Fremont residents will not see an increase in the mill rate for the village portion of their overall tax bill.

The village’s mill rate will remain at $4.10 per $1,000 of assessed valuation.

The Village Board approved a 2014 expenditure budget of $527,632.79 when it met on Nov. 12.

Next year’s budget is down slightly from the current village budget of $530,988.

The 2014 budget will be supported by a village tax levy of $281,902, up $237 from the current levy of $281,665.

Also approved was a 2014 sewer budget of $300,600, which compares to the current sewer budget of $314,500.
