Bulldogs drop home opener

A tough overtime loss wasn’t what the Bulldogs were looking for on opening night, Tuesday, Nov. 26, but the Appleton East Patriots made sure the evening ended on a sour note for the home team.

New London led 15-4 after one quarter and 21-14 at halftime. Both teams scored four points in the third quarter, and New London held a seven-point lead going into the fourth quarter.

Appleton East staged a furious rally in the final frame, outscoring New London 14-7 to send the game to overtime.
