Wolves take down Tigers

The Manawa boys’ basketball team took to the road, Tuesday, Nov. 26, traveling to Tigerton for a non-conference game.

After a slow start, the Wolves regrouped and won a nail biter, 41-40.

Tigerton jumped out to a quick lead, only to see Manawa battle back later in the first quarter. The two teams matched each other shot for shot throughout the first half, swapping the lead several times. The two teams headed to the locker rooms at halftime tied at 19-19.

The second half featured much of the same. When the final buzzer sounded, it was Manawa taking home a 41-40 victory.

The Wolves out rebounded the Tigers, 18-12.

Luke Wilz led Manawa in scoring with 11 points. Matt Radloff chipped in with 8 points, while Brandon Radloff had 6 points. Andrew Mauritania and David Blum combined for 6 steals. Manawa hosts Mosinee, Friday, Dec. 6.
