Mark Burr, age 53 of Shawano, passed away unexpectedly on December 14, 2013.
Born on December 7, 1960 in Shawano, he is the son of the late Gordon J. and Phyllis M. (Lenzner) Burr. Mark was united in marriage to Carla Huehnerfuss in Shawano on February 2, 1983. Mark was a veteran and proudly served in the US Army. He worked at Seagrave for 11 years and was well known for repairing transmissions and working on cars. Known as a kindhearted fellow, Mark was always willing to help others when needed. He was always the life of the party and had a way of making everyone laugh. Mark will always be remembered for his outgoing personality and his passion for flea markets and rummage sales. Mark loved spending time with his grandchildren, Aidan and Adison. This was the first year Aidan and Mark hunted together. All these memories will be treasured for years to come. He will be sadly missed by his life-long partner and wife, Carla, his best friend and son, MJ.
Mark is survived by: his loving wife of 31 years, Carla of Shawano; his son and daughter-in-law, MJ and Michele; 2 grandchildren, Aidan and Adison; siblings, Gary Burr, Jeff (Dee) Burr, Katie (Jack) Heitpas, Randy (Tammy) Burr, Cherie Schellinger, Todd Burr, Burdette Burr, Paula Burr; brother-in-law, Jeff (Sandy) Huehnerfuss; sister-in-law, Coleen (Tracy) Ray; father-in-law, Charles Huehnerfuss and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by: his parents, Gordon and Phyllis Burr; his sister-in-law, Karen Burr; and his mother-in-law, Helen Huehnerfuss
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2013 at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. Melinda Shriner officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the services. www.swedbergfuneralhome.com
