Lubejko, Susan Diane

After a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease and Lyme disease, Susan Lubejko, age 70 passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2013 peacefully at Kindred Hearts Assisted Living, Green Lake, Wisconsin.

Susan is survived by her devoted husband Edward, and was the loving mother of daughter Carrie Lubejko of Fall River, WI and Edward Mark Lubejko of Oak Creek, WI and grandsons, Zachary Feezel of Denver, CO and Eli Feezel of LaCrosse, WI. Susan was preceded in death by her sister Patricia Timerman of Colorado Springs, CO and her mother Helen Seemuth and her father Joseph Seemuth also of Colorado Springs, CO. Susan resided on Long Lake, Waushara County, WI and Bokeelia, Florida.

Susan was born January 17, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois. She attended Austin High School and also received a teaching degree from Southern Illinois University. Her teaching career covered various public and parochial schools in Illinois and Wisconsin. Her special skills included Gifted and Talented Students and she often administrated the “Odyssey of the Minds Programs”. Susan’s hobbies included interior decorating, art, golf, tennis, boating, biking, and aerobic and Zumba dance. Needless to say Susan led a very active, stimulating life. She also attended many functions with the “Ladies of Long Lake”, The Red Hat Society, Pine Island Elks, and various volunteer groups. Susan and her husband, upon retirement, traveled extensively to many international locales.

The Memorial Mass will be on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, N2845 Shadow Lake Road, Waupaca, Wisconsin. Friends and family may call on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. The Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements. A Special Thank You to the staff at Kindred Hearts Assisted Living and Generations Hospice for all the loving care and kindness they gave to Susan during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
