Morrin resigns as LWHS principal

Karl Morrin resigned last week from his position of Little Wolf Jr./Sr. High School principal. The resignation was effective immediately.

Ed Dombrowski, district administrator for the School District of Manawa, said Morrin’s resignation was for personal reasons. Morrin, who was at the school board meeting held Dec. 16, was in his second year as LWHS principal.

Since the resignation, Dombrowski said he met with the school board to discuss the options available to the district to fill the void left by the resignation.

“For the immediate future, right now I’m going to do both principal and superintendent [jobs] until we decide what direction we want to go in,” Dombrowski said.

Dombrowski said there wasn’t a time frame for filling the principal position.

“I think we just have to look at what’s best for our students and what’s best for our staff,” Dombrowski said.

A special school board meeting was scheduled for Monday, Dec. 23. Accepting Morrin’s resignation was on the agenda for that meeting. The board packet for that meeting did not include a resignation letter from Morrin.
