Waupaca County criminal sentencing Dec. 26

• Charges of burglary and theft against Anthony C. Kurszewski, 21, Stevens Point, were dismissed on a motion by the prosecution.

• The couple whose trailer in Waupaca was home to a meth lab will spend no time in jail.

Judge Philip Kirk placed Courtland D. Fritz, 49, and Lorrenda A. Fritz, 45, on three years of probation, ordered them to perform community service and each pay $268 in court costs.

Both of them were convicted of charges of delivery of amphetamines. Charges were dismissed but read into the record against Courtland Fritz for possession of methamphetamine, drug trafficking and three counts of using another person to buy pseudoephedrine and against Lorrenda Fritz for possession of methamphetamine.

• Kirk placed Michael A. Kallas, 17, New London, on two years of probation, ordered him to perform 25 hours of community service and pay $1,265 in fines and court costs.

Kallas was convicted of three counts of misdemeanor bail jumping and one count of felony bail jumping in two separate cases. Felony charges of possession of schedule IV drugs with intent to deliver and possession of an illegally obtained prescription drug, along with misdemeanor charges of theft, resisting an officer and bail jumping were dismissed but read into the court record for sentencing purposes.

• Kirk placed Brandon M. Scheller, 19, Clintonville, on one year of probation and assessed him $732.

Scheller was convicted of theft. A burglary charge was dismissed but read into the record.

• Kirk sentenced Steven A. Johnson, 42, Hartford, to 45 days in jail, assessed him $1,529, revoked his license for 24 months and ordered him to install an ignition interlock device for 24 months.

Johnson was convicted of a third drunken driving offense. Charges of operating after revocation and failure to install an IID were dismissed and read into the record.

• Kirk placed Travis J. Genske, 22, Bear Creek, on two years of probation. The judge sentenced Genske to 90 days in jail, then stayed 75 days of the sentence. He also ordered Genske to pay $3,482 in restitution and court fees.

Genske was convicted of two counts of misdemeanor theft and two counts of bail jumping. Two felony counts of burglary were dismissed but read into the record.

• Judge Harold V. Froehlich placed Ezequiel S. Zapatero Sr., 59, New London, on three years of probation, sentenced him to nine months in jail and ordered him to pay $3,074 and install an IID for 18 months.

Zapatero was convicted of a fifth drunken driving offense.

• Kirk placed Darlene L. Stiebs, 53, New London, on three years probation. He ordered her to pay $1,054 and sentenced her to jail for 90 days, then stayed 75 days of the sentence.

Stiebs was convicted of delivery of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to deliver and felony bail jumping in two separate criminal cases. Charges of delivery of narcotics, possession of illegally obtained prescription drugs and another count of bail jumping were dismissed but read into the record.

• Kirk placed Jason G. Ratliff, 29, Clintonville, on four years of probation. He sentenced him to 90 days in jail, then stayed 75 days of the sentence. He also ordered him to pay $4,132 in restitution and court costs.

Ratliff was convicted on two separate criminal cases for one count of battery, three counts of disorderly conduct and one count of misdemeanor bail jumping. A felony battery charge was dismissed but read into the record.

• Kirk placed Anthony M. Spilotro, 27, New London, on two years of probation. He sentenced Spilotro to 60 days in jail, then stayed 55 days.

Spilotro was convicted of felony possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. Charges of delivery of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia were dismissed but read into the record.

• Kirk placed Cierra K. Stewart, 20, Marion, on two years of probation and ordered her to perform 20 hours of community service and pay $268 in court costs.

Stewart was convicted of delivery of marijuana. Two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia were dismissed but read into the record.

• Kirk placed Eric M. Buckholz, 27, Milwaukee, on two years of probation. He ordered Buckholz to spend one weekend in jail and pay $1,029 in fines and court costs.

Buckholz was convicted of battery, disorderly conduct and pointing a firearm at a person.

Charges of reckless endangerment, felony strangulation, criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct were dismissed but read into the record.

• Kirk placed Wesley A. Martin, 24, Waupaca, on five years of probation and sentenced him to serve nine months in jail. The judge also ordered Martin to pay $39,125 in restitution and $337 in fines and court costs.

Martin was convicted of three counts of burglary. Six counts of burglary, eight counts of theft and nine counts of criminal damage to property were dismissed but read into the record.

• Kirk placed Percy J. Schmelzle, 19, Wautoma, on one year of probation and ordered him to pay $996 in restitution and court costs.

Schmelzle was convicted of two counts of misdemeanor theft.

• Kirk placed Treaver L. Dobberstein, 25, Waupaca, on three years of probation and ordered him to pay $598 in court costs and serve six months in jail.

Dobberstein was convicted of third-degree sexual assault. He was originally charged with sexual assault of a child after a 15-year-old girl accused him of having sex with her.
