Students at New London’s Lincoln Elementary School recently held a “Kids Care Project” that involved a penny war and sending over 70 pairs of shoes to children in Kitale, Kenya.
Many of the children who received the shoes in Kitale are orphans or living in extreme poverty.
Students in New London may continue the project through writing letters, sending notes and communicating with their new friends in Kitale via Skype.
