Carol Jean Miller, age 76, of New London, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at Appleton Medical Center with her family by her side.

She was born on June 28, 1937 in the Town of Harrison, the daughter of the late Stephen and Lucina (Seegers) Kuepper. On October 3, 1953, Carol married Robert E. Miller Sr. at Holy Name Catholic Church in Kimberly. They just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. She was a faithful member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London. Robert and Carol were foster parents to 64 children over the years. She had a love for reading and was well known for her excellent baking and cooking skills. Carol was a reporter for the Press Star for many years. She served as president to the Chamber of Commerce in New London. She was part-owner of The Pantry in New London with her mother Lucina. Later, Bob and Carol started the rental business of C & B Rental and sold it to start Carol’s Party Plus and then later Carol’s Attic until retirement. Her family meant the world to her, and she looked forward to the family gatherings and eating together at local restaurants.

Carol is survived by her husband Robert; 3 children: Robert E. Jr. (Patricia) Miller, Fremont; Cindy (Ken) Friday, New London; Jerry (Suzanne) Miller, Appleton; 8 grandchildren: Heather Schlomann (friend Kevin), Holly (Tim) Gambsky, Brett (Sarah) Miller, Nicholas Arndt, Eric (Annie) Miller, Stephanie (Jake) Miller, Nate (fiancé Trisha) Miller, Megan Miller; also 9 great-grandchildren; 7 brothers and sisters: Stephen Jr. (LaVerne) Kuepper, Kimberly; Kenneth (Ariel) Kuepper, Big Bear Lake, California; Richard (Kerry) Kuepper, Sacramento, California; Diane (Timothy) Lettau, Appleton; Douglas (Tamara) Kuepper, Milwaukee; Steven (Diana) Kuepper, Winter, Wisconsin; Corey Kuepper, Orange County, California; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Pat (Al) Griesbach, Stephensville; Shirley Zwicky, Texas; Judy (Jack) Mitchell, Kaukauna; Cathy (Gene) Ely, Neenah. She is further survived by dear friend Jayne Rohan, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Lucina Kuepper, sister, Janet Kuepper; mother-in-law Velma VandenBloomer.

The Funeral Mass for Carol will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2014, at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London. A visitation for Carol will be held on Friday at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London from 4-7 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will also be at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
